through our Ministries
A music video called “I Believe” by Brooks and Dunn came on the tv. I was so interested in the
video and song, I cried for 2 weeks thinking about it. God was touching my heart through the
words of that song. April 2007 I found myself in a bad financial situation and ended up bankrupt.
I was disabled, no longer a part of the restaurant business and therefore jobless.
I started going to church with my niece and from that Sunday forward, my heart
continued to grow and learn more about God that I believed in but never really knew. I walked
day by day in God’s presence. He led me to do volunteer work at the church. I was so grateful to
help others and it brought me so much joy. I continued to volunteer at the pantry and I was being
supplied with my clothes and food needs.
God was showing me his love and helping provide for my son. When he was 16, he
needed some new pants. He had ripped his only pair and there was no way to mend them. I was
able to get $10 from my sister to buy some. I went shopping looking for some pants. Luckily, I
was able to find a pair of basketball shorts and a t-shirt in his size 5X because there aren't many
options available in that size. I went to the register to pay and the total came up to $12. I asked if
I could get a discount as I only had $10 but the cashier refused to help lower the prices. My heart
was crushed as a mother not being able to provide for my son and his clothing necessities. A man
behind me in line showed me that God was there and He helped me purchase the clothes.
A little while after, a man from church came up to me and offered me his old clothes.
Clothes that he could no longer fit but that would fit my son. He provided for my son with a
whole new wardrobe and they were all like new. I was then touched again, by God’s love. My
son loved all his new clothes. My son was then surprised with $12 that was left in the pocket of
one of the clothes and he needed that for school that day. God is so good and my heart was
swelling with joy of his miraculous love.
When I traveled back and forth to church, I would pass this sign that said “Space for
Lease”. I didn’t have any money but I trusted God and called the number a couple of weeks later
and spoke with the landlord. I said “God told me to call and see about having a space to sell
clothes and give back to churches in the community”. I wanted to offer clothes for 99 cents a
piece that people in need could afford. He asked if a 300 square ft spot would work and I told
him yes. He offered the first month free and he would pay the utilities. We opened Humble
Impressions in June of that year and two weeks in, we had the first month's rent, utilities and
God blessed the ministry. We were able to begin to give back to the local churches. God is so
good! With all the love he has given, we went from 300 sq ft to over 20,000 sq ft ,and still growing.
The ministry God has put in our care now has multiple locations, food pantries, and a
community distribution center that offers household and general merchandise items at no cost to
the needy. God’s work has been nothing short of amazing!

We are the hands and feet of Jesus. We have dedicated our lives to glorifying God by serving all those struggling to overcome hopelessness brought on by many of life's disadvantages including but not limited to disease, poverty, old age, and mental health issues.
Our thrift store is open 5 days a week and all of our clothes are sold at just $.99.
The food pantry is open M-W-F from 2-5pm. Recipients are allotted to come 1x per week.
The distribution center is open periodically and everything is given away free. A recipient is allotted a certain number of items. All the items here are general merchandise.
This ministry was founded to help fulfill the gap that we noticed outside of the bigger metro areas in Southern Indiana between Indianapolis and Louisville metros. We envision setting up a mobile food pantry at different churches throughout the month.
Approximately 37.9 million people or 11.6 % of the United States live below the poverty line

The poverty line in the United States is $14,580 for an individual and $30,000 For a family of 4.
6.3 million people are considered working poor. Working poor are those who work atleast 27 hours a week but still fall below the poverty line.
4.3 % of all workers in the United States are considered working poor.
